Spring in Muskoka is truly a great experience! It's the time of year when you can see a lot of wildlife in natural surroundings. Moose, deer, bear, wolves, fox, beaver and wild turkeys are only a few of our neighbours who become more active as the Winter snow and ice begin to disappear. It's also the time for baby animals!
Canoes and Kayaks are available on site and are free for our guest's use on Lake of Bays. Enjoy a 1 hour paddle to Marsh's Falls, starting at Dwight Beach in front of our cottage resort.
Do you like to fish? Head down to the Dwight Beach Town Dock and throw in a line!
There's also the "Fishing Bridge" just a 5 minute walk down Dwight Beach Road - a favourite local's spot...
Pike, Trout, and Bass are just a few of the fish species that you can tell your friends about. Hopefully, not "the One" that got away!
Algonquin Provincial Park is truly a Canadian wonder, located only 15 minutes drive from our cottage resort. Walking, hiking and biking trails, not to mention a great Visitor Centre and Logging Museum are just down the road. Buy an all-day vehicle permit for an economical and fun day out.
Once the snow melts away and the ice is off Lake of Bays - usually around mid-April - the temperatures begin to gradually rise and reach a comfortable level for wearing only a light jacket.
There's so much for you to see, not to mention eat and drink as you discover our great local restaurants and micro-breweries along the way!
